Encouraging Self ID of a Disability

March 17, 2020 by Jenny Voigt

One of the most difficult things for people to do is share that they have a disability, especially if it is one that isn’t evident on sight.  Many organizations have initiatives to hire individuals with disabilities and to increase the diversity of their workforce in that regard.  Success can be almost impossible to measure accurately given the hesitancy candidates and employees have with revealing a disability, even if specific details aren’t required.
